Yarra River-Melbourne
Tell us about your piece and how it represents the Country that you are from?
This papercut is a scene of the city of Melbourne, Australia. Here from Princes Bridge you can look over the Yarra River. It is a popular place for visitors to walk and meet at cafes. It is close to the concert hall, the botanical gardens and art galleries. It is one of my favourite places to go in Melbourne.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?
It is a challenge for me to work with the thin rice paper. I need to use a magnifying glass for the finer details and of course I need to use quality sharp blades.

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?
I loved creating the patterns, silhouettes and shadows that represent this scene of my home town.

How did you enjoy working with Excel Blades?
I enjoyed working with the excel blades. The sharp fine point of the 11 blade enabled me to cut the small intricate patterns. The handle is comfortable to use.
