Tell us a little about your piece?

I chose to use these papers to create two species of plants: an endangered native Virginia Goat's Rue and a non-native, invasive Vinca. I hope to show that the Vinca is effectively smothering the Goat's Rue. Invasive plants are a problem throughout the world and they threaten the habitats of native, beneficial plants everywhere.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

Using only the papers provided was challenging. I added a small amount of white paint to the pink flowers but otherwise only used the three colours.

What part of the collaboration did you enjoy the most?

I loved visualizing plants within the context of World Wildlife Day. It is a theme that I enjoy exploring.

How did you enjoy working with the paper?

I loved the Perigraphica papers. The colours are so rich and the quality is amazing.

I used Magnificent Green, Precious Purple, and Euphoric Pink
