Where do you make your paper Art?
I have a working space at home in Lisbon, Portugal.
How long have you been working with paper?
I started working with paper in late 2012, it has been almost 8 years.
How would you describe your approach to paper art?
I am a modern quilling paper artist, my creations are very different from traditional quilling. I love combining different mediums with quilling. For example with watercolor or paper cut.
Where do you find inspiration?
Mostly I get requests from my customers, for example the sneaker artwork. She explained the model of the sneaker and I created according to her wish.
Other than the customers I find inspiration from everywhere, while walking on the street, or listening to music, or a quote i read on the internet, etc.
What are your favourite papers to work with?
I like to use most of the colours but my favourite ones are shades of blue. I prefer to use 100-130gsm papers.
What tool could you not live without?
All the tools I am using for my art: scissors, craft knife, tweezers, quilling needle, ruler, cutting mat.
What is the best thing about working with paper as a medium?
I feel comfortable with paper, I feel that I can create anything with it.
Who are your favourite paper artists?
My fellow paper quilling artist Yulia Brodskaya. And Rogan Brown, I recently came across his works on Pinterest and loved them.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am working on a very excited and complicated project but I have to stay quiet about it. But I want to mention the biggest project that I completed this year is my second tutorial book..
