In the woods
Tell us a little about your piece?
My piece is a pop-up scene of a little tent in the woods surrounded by curious animals. It is inspired by my cycling adventure along the US Pacific Coast from Seattle to LA that me and my partner did in September 2016, so exactly 4 years ago.
It was our first time in the US and our first big cycling trip. And even though I was totally exhausted on most days due to all the hills, it was such a great experience and I hope to be able to repeat it again one day.
What was the most challenging part of the brief?
Since I have been mostly working on 3-Dimensional naturalistic sculptures over the last few years, it was a bit tricky to find something that would represent my style and skill set but also fit into the 2D format of the passport.
Also, the nerve-wrecking part of shipping is something I could live without!
What part of the collaboration did you enjoy the most?
I really like the community aspect of this collab - the passing -on -the-torch. It is also wonderful to get to see the unique artworks of some other pac members in real life and to see the passport grow over time.
How did you enjoy working with the ErgoKiwi handle?
I have been a avid user of the Ergo Kiwi before the collab, so I really enjoyed it. The handle's surface feels great!
