Tell us a little about your piece?

The beautiful Painted Lady Butterfly is a truly adventurous creature. I am fascinated by the journeys it makes. It can fly at heights of up to 300m and at speeds of 30mph and it travels 12,000km and crosses the Sahara desert twice for resources and favourable climates. I find this completely amazing.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

The most challenging part of the brief was settling on a subject matter. Once I started looking into insect migration there was a lot of fascintang adventurous wee creatures to choose from. Such a cool subject.

What part of the collaboration did you enjoy the most?

It is amazing to be part of this collaboration for a few reasons, first of all, the idea is very cool, to make a global travelling book where each page is a unique work of art is just super. I felt very priviledged to be the custodian of it for two weeks and also to see the work of fellow PAC members up close. I am looking forward to its onward journey and seeing how this whole thing evolves.

How did you enjoy working with the ErgoKiwi handle?

It took a bit of getting used to but once I got the hang of it it was fine.
