Tell us a little about your piece?

I wanted to challenge myself and experiment with depth, angles, texture, and pattern for my piece. I felt it was important to set the tone for the rest of the calendar but that wouldnt define the contents or give away the subject of the works created for each month.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

Working out the structure that give the piece its depth. Photographing the work was also tricky, trying to decide the best angle to capture all of the tropical layers

What part of the collaboration did you enjoy the most?

Seeing what everyone else had made, it is so inspiring seeing everyone working using their own style and technique.
