Dedication 'Art Refuge'

Tell us a little about your piece?

My hope for this piece is to portray the incredible work that Art Refuge do for those in need at the refugee camps, & beyond. The trauma that Rufugees go through when faced with fleeing their home land & making trecherious journies to a safer place, only to be held in Refugee Camps, causes lasting mental trauma. Art therapists can help with expressing and processing this trauma.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

Doing the work of Art Refuge justice and not trying to play it down for the sake of having something ‘nice to look at’

What part of the collaboration did you enjoy the most?

Seeing everyones works coming together and admiring how we each use the same medium in such different ways. Paper really is one of the most incredible materials, it is such a gift to work with. It starts of as such a simple form and yet can become so complex depending on what you do with it.
