Tell us a little bit about yourself?

 I'm a bioengineer, mother of 3 and paper enthusiast from the middle of Norway. I love the simplicity and complexity in paper. Most of all the fact that a flat white paper can be turned into the most intricate and colorful piece of work.​

Tell us a little bit about your interpretation of Paper Passion?

The brief was to be inspired by what surrounds us. And what's more inspiring than seeing nature come to life after the strong and cold winter up north? When the she early spring flowers comes up trough the snow. When trees and grass gets green and the flowering starts. I do. I'm feeling alive again and want to stay outdoors all the time so that I don't miss a thing.​

Tell us a little about your piece?

Winter: Origami. The Phizz unit Torus as the frozen winter and ice. 

Spring: When snow melt, the scallions give us hope of warmer and lighter days and the fruit trees fills with flowers.

Summer: Color explotion! Everything comes to life, both nature, wildlife and people.

Autumn: With all it's beautiful leaves, fruits and vegetables.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

The most challenging part must be the time factor. Every flower piece is handmade, cut and painted. Only the wreath has units with a set size, number of units and folds.  It's been time consuming, but so fun to make! Being able to use different tecniques in one piece and going back to making paper flowers from regular flat paper with a hint of colours.​

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?

I loved working with the papers from Arctic Paper. I was rough with it despite the light weight. I painted it with lots of watercolors, folded and manipulated it. I found it to be a strong paper both for paper flowers and origami, and I will use again for sure.​

How did you enjoy working with Munken and Arctic Volume?

The Phizz unit origami torus was made with Arctic Volume White 100g, the flowers with Munken Lynx 100g. The two papers was quite alike, so the only difference I experienced was the color. The Arctic Volume White had a colder tone of white than Munken Lynx.
