Tell us a little bit about yourself? 
I'm a paper artist from Moscow, Russia.  .Since 2013 I've been working with paper making paper artworks for exhibitions, creating paper set design for ads , paper illustrations in magazine publications, and creating the paper scenes for animation in TV commercials   I love using white paper as the basis for my artworks, adding a little color for details. 

 

Tell us a little bit about your interpretation of Paper Passion? 

I love paper and respect this media a lot, each time I touch it I feel the desire to create, the material itself gives me the huge gulp of inspiration. When the idea comes to my mind I feel the necessity to bring it real to life, this passion makes Art happen.
 

Tell us a little about your piece? 
It's made mostly of Munken Lynx 240 gsm and Arctic Volume White 250 gsm for the background and inked elements. It's called Sansara and my main idea was to show the circle of rebirth of things and ideas and what is more important , of paper. The pureness of paper made me think about hopes and dreams and faith and then the white Buddha's image came to my mind. 
 

What was the most challenging part of the brief? 
I think it's  Buddha's face as I wanted to make it calm and giving the warm feelings as you look at it at the same time, it was a very responsible and challenging moment for me. 
 

How did you enjoy working with Munken and Arctic Volume? 

I enjoyed these papers a lot!! As a paper artist and it was a very good surprise and turned out to be the most enjoyable part of brief  to use ink on this paper - the great and satisfying process and result! Thank you PAC and Arctic Paper for such an apportunity!
