Which London landmark did you choose and why?
We chose The Gherkin building. Because this building was the most suitable for our low poly style.
Talk us through the process of making the piece.
First of all we design the building using the pictures and floor plans. After designing process we prepared the cutting layouts. Later on we cut the pieces out of the paper, glued them together and form the body using support rings inside. After that we glued the coating pieces all around the body. There are 18 slices, 10 support rings for the body and 360 rhombus coating pieces.
What was the most challenging part of the brief?
The most challenging part was to put the slices together and form the body without any gaps.
What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?
Working together with other talented paper artists and creating a collaboration together was the most enjoying part of this project.
