White Square
Tell us about your piece and how it represents the Country that you are from?

St Basil’s Cathedral was the first symbol of Russia that comes to mind and the ballet is the second one. I’m a big fan of both. I like watching the old architecture while roaming around the city and St Basil’s Cathedral takes my breath away each time I’m passing by. With the coming holidays Red Square becomes a magical place from a winter fairy-tale

with fairs, large music ice skating ring and golden lights sparkling everywhere welcoming you to join the merrymaking. Inspired with that coming New Year mood. I designed this artwork to share these feelings with everyone.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

It’s the Cathedral of course as I had to spent a lot of time trying to learn its design and to cope with these numerous tiny details, it was quite tricky)

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?

The ballet dancers’ outfit, I do really enjoy creating lush petticoats for my characters.

How did you enjoy working with Excel Blades?

It was very comfortable for me to work with Excel Medium Duty Knife - it’s suprisingly heavy unlike the common knife I used to work with and I found it quite satisfying during the process and especially when I saw a result. I’m very thankful for such an apportunity.
