Tell us a little about your piece?

For this piece I have used triangles only, the piece is all cut freehand and it consists of 70 cm of cut paper arranged as a mountain landscape within the frame of 20x20x20 cm. I wanted to show this simplistic geometric pattern in a new way, focusing on depth, layers and intricacy.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

The most challenging part of the brief was actually to keep within the 20x20x20 cm. Even though this normally wouldn't be hard for me, this project kept wanting me to work bigger. I found a way to do both by arranging my paper by bending and turning it into its final look.

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?

I loved working with a colour, and Sapphire is such a rich and beautiful blue. I also loved working freehand and just start with one triangle and then just see what happens.
