Tell us a little about your piece?

we’ve been wanting to do an underwater themed project for a while. The colour luckily inspired 3 parts underwater world in combination with 1 part lucid sky, complimenting the ‘Azure Blue’ feature. This way we were able to illustrate the tiny submarine in its voyage from the natural airy sky environment above, to the mysterious water world below.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

Finding a illustration technique that stays within the confined size of 20x20x20cm.

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?

Being surprised with the allocated colour, and then building the piece from there. Then putting the illustration in 20X20x20cm format and noticing how the natural shadow on each layer features a different hue of the Azure Blue colour.
