Tell us a little about your piece?

 I created a signature piece, a feathered crane, similar to a number of other cranes I have created in the past. The only difference is its size - the piece for this challenge is considerably larger than my preferred size. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I tried to create something fluid, something harmonious, which would not clash with the blue I was assigned.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

I would say that the most challenging part was the narrowing down of ideas and the final decision on what to create. Once I had decided on the design, everything went smoothly.

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?

 I very much enjoyed using a vibrant colour, such as the stunning 'new blue'. I have an affinity for black and white paper, so it was refreshing to use a bit more colour for once.
