Tell us a little about your piece?
My piece is the Funky F, I was inspired by the funky patterns of the 70s and 80s that I am crazy about, they are just so fun! So I've created this geometric / funky patterns for the F to go on and it's made out of small cut out pieces on top of a square grid and strips.
What was the most challenging part of the brief?
Definitely coming up with the theme for the work. I wanted to do something fun so I tried thinking about what words starts with "F" I went through many choices; F for fractals, F for feathers, flowers etc but decided to end with Funky because I think it is quirky and playful..

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?
I enjoyed all of it! I don't usually do this kind of cute quirky patterns, my works are usually more geometric and precise, so to be able to let loose like this was great! I'm kind of addicted, I might do more in this style.

How did you enjoy working with Senses Paper?
I absolutely love it! It was very easy to cut, the thickness is just right and the paper is very pigmented throughout which is hard to find. It's always challenging to fine the right paper to work with and I am very picky with it, but these papers were perfect to work with.
