Tell us a little about your piece?
I went through a bit of a journey with this piece, the colours reminded me of a parrot at first so that was the theme of my original idea! However, I started thinking about animals beginning with the letter J and Jellyfish was the first to spring to mind. The blue went perfectly as the sea and I thought the tentacles could elegantly drift to form the curve of the letter.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?
I'm not used to working with such bright colours, so it was tough thinking of a way to utilise the colours. Luckily the colours fitted perfectly with my jellyfish idea in the end!

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?
I really wanted to challenge myself and create a piece which wasn't just the letter 'J', so figuring out how to create a 3D animal into the shape of a 'J' was one of my favourite parts.

How did you enjoy working with Senses Paper?
The paper was really lovely to work with, it was so easy to cut with my blades and the colours are so vibrant which is brilliant!
