Tell us a little about your piece?
I secretly wanted the letter "S." It is a special letter for me as my daughter's name begins with S. I wanted this piece to be fun and casual, just like her. So instead of choosing just one thing that began with the letter "S," I just started creating every fun thing that she threw at me and while it is a bit chaotic, it is exactly how I imagined it would be with her in mind!

What was the most challenging part of the brief?
The most challenging part of this brief was having to work with a paper weight that is thinner than what I am used to. At 140 gsm, this paper is thin and will hold minor creases and dents, which as a perfectionist irritates me to no end. I had to come up with clever ways to cover up those imperfections as I worked through the piece.

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?
At first, I thought the colours would hinder my creative process, but the challenge of having only three colours to work with became the part I enjoyed the most. I learned a lot about working with a limited palette and I feel inspired to do this again in the future.

How did you enjoy working with Senses Paper?
I loved that this brief with Senses Paper forced me out of my comfort zone. Thanks to the vibrancy of the colors, this piece really pops in a way that I didn't expect. I personally never would have chosen these colors, but they really do work well together.

Colour 1: Heather Lilac 140gsm
Colour 2: Lush Lavender 140gsm
Colour 3: Hibiscus Pink 140gsm
