Tell us a little about your piece?

My piece was inspired by a road trip I went on in September through Death Valley in America. The lovely warm colours I was sent really reminded me of the baking hot California sun and the rich hues of the desert rock formations.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

The most challenging part of the brief was figuring out what object should take the form of the T shape. I knew I wanted the design to be bold, simple and graphic, so I experimented with several different designs in different themes before I hit upon something I was happy with.

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?

I loved discovering a whole new set of paper stocks and playing around with the qualities of the new material.

How did you enjoy working with Senses Paper?

As soon as I opened the packet I loved the bright colours of the senses paper and the nice smooth texture of the sheets. The qualities of the paper really leant themselves to bold graphic experiementation.
